[what is "big ron's" relation to national deca]

I should be more specific on my relation to national deca. Well currently, i am an additional advisor, and speaker to some schools in this state informing others of the powerful opportunities that this organization offers. This past year at the national cdc in denver colorado, i was a campaign manager for a candidate for national deca president. Designing her campain fliers, posters, and major campain plan, i was directly and indirectly recognized for this. Though our attempt led to an a loss to Richard Williams, i gained great knowledge from this experience. Our loss was due to a lot of "internal disorder" in the south carolina deca organization.
At the national convention in denver, i had the pleasure of meeting the president, of video evnets, the company responsible for making the highlights video, and different video clips that were shown during the duration of the convention. Wearing my trademark afro, along with my friend Rodney, we appeared in the natinal highlights video 3 times, and were shown each day in the main convention hall at the beginning of each activity. It was a self proclaimed job to help motiviate our fellow members and to make a lasting impression on others who came to meet us. From virginia to to washington state, Rodney and I could be seen marching, dancing, and yelling all over the convention center. So if you have ever seen a tall guy in an afro, that was me.
Having met Richard, i don't doubt his leadership abilities, but i am still unconclusive as to if he can meet up to the standards of his predisessor, Delvin Franklin. I develped a pretty good relationship with Delvin and found him to do a fine job with his position last year.
I have recieved many compliments about my leadership abilities and personality, which i greatly appreicate, and i was often asked why i didn't run for a national office last year. Not doubting my strong possiblity for success, i can only say it was an combination of some bad timing and mild confussion, wth a touch of miscommunication.
